Itinerary

Day 1

Ride, Climb & Explore the Yangshuo Karst

Morning Session (8:30 AM – approx. 4:30 PM):

Your guide picks you up in Yangshuo at 8:30 AM. You hop on an e-bike (2 people per bike) and set off along the Yulong River. The Ten Mile Gallery unfolds around you β€” dramatic karst towers, buffalo grazing in paddies, and villages tucked behind bamboo groves.

You arrive at the via ferrata base around 10:00 AM. After a safety briefing and gear fitting, you clip onto the steel cable and begin your ascent. Route A offers a moderate 1.5-hour traverse. Route B pushes you further with steeper sections and longer exposure β€” around 2 hours. Both reward you with jaw-dropping views of the karst valley below.

If you added the Moon Water Cave caving, lunch is self-arranged or pre-ordered through us (USD 15 per person). After lunch, head into the cave β€” you trek through muddy passages, wade knee-deep in an underground river, and stand beneath towering stalactites. The cave takes about 2 hours. Your vehicle drops you back in Yangshuo around 4:30 PM.

If you did not add the cave, your guide drops you back in Yangshuo after the via ferrata session, around 12:30 PM.

Afternoon Session (1:30 PM – approx. 5:30 PM):

Your guide picks you up at 1:30 PM. Same e-bike route along the Yulong River and Ten Mile Gallery, same via ferrata experience β€” just with a later start and a more relaxed pace. After the climb, you head straight back to Yangshuo, arriving around 5:30 PM.

Timing adjusts based on your group pace. The Moon Water Cave add-on is not available for the afternoon session. Contact us for questions or custom requests.

Good to Know

  • What to Bring: Comfortable shoes, light layers, and a change of clothes if you are doing the cave. Mornings can be cool along the river but you warm up fast on the rock face.
  • Best Time to Visit: March through November offers the best conditions. Spring and autumn give mild temperatures ideal for cycling. Summer is warm but the cave stays refreshingly cool.
  • How to Book: Contact us at least 48 hours ahead to confirm availability. Full payment is required to confirm your booking. Contact us for group bookings or custom dates.
  • Cave Add-On: The Moon Water Cave expedition adds roughly 2 hours and is only available for the morning session. Please decide at the time of booking β€” we need to arrange it in advance.
  • Physical Level: This tour is rated moderate. The e-bike does most of the work, the via ferrata lets you go at your own pace, and the cave involves some crawling and wading but no technical skill.
