Good to Know
- Best time for pandas: We depart at 7:30 AM because pandas are most active during morning feeding (9-11 AM). Afternoon visits often mean sleeping pandas.
- Hot pot spice level: Locals will help you choose. Mild is still spicy by Western standards. Non-spicy broth is always available.
- Hotel pickup: Complimentary pickup and drop-off within Chengdu 2nd Ring Road. Please provide your hotel name and address in advance. Additional fees apply for areas outside the 2nd Ring Road.
- What to wear: Comfortable walking shoes. Pandas = outdoor paths. Tea house = casual is fine.
- Weather: Tour runs rain or shine. Chengdu can be humid — bring a light rain jacket in summer.
- Photography: No flash at the panda base. Great photo ops at the opera and tea house.
- Language: All guiding in English. Menu translation included at hot pot.
